Label Fait Maison
This label distinguishes, on a voluntary basis, restaurants whose food is prepared entirely or for the most part in their own kitchens, without the use of pre-cooked dishes and products.
Three objectives have motivated the Association to promote this label
- to respond to consumers' desire for transparency
- to fight against the standardization of tastes
- to promote the know-how of Swiss gastronomy
These objectives respond to three values expected today by the general public:
A dish is considered as "Home-made" if it is cooked entirely on the spot from raw or traditionally used products.
If a product does not meet the requirements of the specifications, it will be indicated on the menu.
