## Lausanne

The City of Lausanne  is distinguished by its momentum. Be it from sporty, cultural, architectural or historical perspective : In Lausanne there is always something going on. Numerous museums provide knowledge gain for the population. The unique topography (more than 700 meters altitude difference in the city!) From the lakeshore up to the high forested peaks of Sauvabelin uncountable surprises for you.

## Culture and excursions

Around the city there are plenty of possible excursions, nestled in Canton of Vaud: of course the lake and boat excursions, discovery tours in the vineyards of Lavaux, which are laid out in terraces, and were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as tasting wonderful wines elaborated there. Guests can visit, 50 km away, the medieval town of Gruyeres, which is world famous for its cheese or Geneva, the world capital of United Nations, which can be reached in a 30-minute train ride away. Not to mention the fascinating landscapes of the Alps as well as: 

an unforgettable cruise to Montreux and the Chillon castle 
Evian (inFrance) - reachable by boat and famous for its mineral water 
visit Bern, the capital of Switzerland 
excursion to Zermatt or Chamonix
